Course Overview
Students will be introduced to manual architectural drafting as it pertains to interior design, beginning with equipment use, technical vocabulary and lettering skills. Students will produce multi-view drawings orthographically of objects and furniture with an introduction to plans and elevations, using scale, both imperial and metric, accurately. Correct line weights, dimensions, scale, notes and layout information will be emphasized in this course.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Produce legible pencil drawings using appropriate line weights, layout and lettering techniques.
- Produce multi-view drawings orthographically of objects and furniture.
- Measure and draw existing objects and/or furniture.
- Illustrate interior architectural building components in plans, and elevations.
- Produce drawings, using both the imperial and metric scales, to create drawings Create and layout drawings using standard interior design title blocks and general notes.
- Draw floor plans and elevations to scale mechanically and freehand.
