Course Overview
Introduces basic concepts of organizational behaviour that can be used to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the construction industry. Topics include perception, personality, and emotions; individual values and attitudes; motivation; teamwork; communication; power and politics; leadership; and organizational culture. Emphasis will be placed on learning through in-class team building exercises, discussions, and the study of relevant examples.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Define key terms and identify significant concepts in the study of organization behaviour.
- Analyze organizations within the construction industry and apply significant theories and models of organizational behaviour to the study of these organizations.
- Identify strategies to improve performance, satisfaction, cooperation, motivation, communication, conflict management, and leadership.
- Integrate organizational behaviour knowledge and skills from course work, various media, and experiences to improve team work skills in the construction industry.
