Course Overview
Exam addresses topics related to the fundamentals of human body structure and function based on curriculum of 6-credits of post-secondary anatomy and physiology course (s). It covers material related to body organization, cytology, histology and the structure and function of the following organ systems: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive. - International fees are typically 3.12 times the domestic tuition. Exact cost will be calculated upon completion of registration.
- Challenge exam will be taken ONLINE AT THE START TIME POSTED and does not require students to come to campus. The exam invigilator will communicate with students via BCIT’s Learning Hub learn.bcit.ca approximately 2 days before exam therefore it is important to sign in prior to date to review any messages posted. Exam is designed for Bachelor of Science Nursing, Cardiovascular Perfusion, Electoneurophysiology and Prosthetics and Orthotics applicants that have taken a 6 credit Anatomy and Physiology course and received a minimum C+ (67%) but do not meet the three (3) year recency requirement. No study materials or instructor support provided in preparation for exam as students are expected to have proficiency with the material. Challenge exam can be taken once and requires a minimum of 75% to pass. If a student registers and writes exam a second time, the mark from first attempt will be used. Result will be submitted within 3 days to Student Records and Admissions Officer. Students can transfer to another CRN in the same term no later than 1 business day before the start date.
