Course Overview
This course focuses on the use of project management concepts and tools to accomplish business goals. Students will identify project management issues in rapidly changing business and technical environments and utilize strategies to manage projects effectively.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Apply the principles of developing, building, coordinating and working within effective project teams.
- Apply techniques for planning and scheduling projects, establishing positive project practices and procedures, formulating processes for monitoring and reporting of progress, and systematically addressing project issues.
- Use collaborative processes for initiating, planning, scheduling, monitoring and closing projects.
- Apply the 10 Project Management Knowledge areas to plan, execute and evaluate projects.
- Create a personal action plan for improving effectiveness on projects based on the ability to design, execute and evaluate specific projects.
- Critically analyze the characteristics of different personality styles and cultures, including the student's own, as a project leadership and organizational tool.
- Evaluate the variety and use of conflict management skills through the analysis of different behavioural styles.
