StrongerBC future skills grant funding covers 100% of tuition costs in our microcredential courses up to $3500 total per individual.  Our microcredential courses are eligible for the StrongerBC future skills grant*, which covers 100% of your tuition costs.

Winter 2024: Funding under the StrongerBC future skills grant program will be available in Winter 2024 for those learners who initiated a program of study in the Fall 2023 term using their future skills grant grant funding of $3500 and whose program extended beyond that first semester (midstream learners).

Fall 2024: For other students, we are pleased to confirm there will be funded programs available in the Fall (September) 2024 term. This funding will be available for new learners who have not yet accessed future skills grant funding, and for those who have already accessed future skills grant funding less than the $3500 lifetime maximum.

For a limited time, the City of Richmond and the City of New Westminster are subsidizing tuition on these BCIT courses.  

What are the requirements?

Individuals working with business licenses and past, current, or upcoming construction projects in the City of Richmond or New Westminster. To check if you are eligible for tuition subsidy contact zeb@bcit.ca.

The B.C. Employer Training Program (ETG) is a possible way for an employer to receive grant funding to pay for course tuition fees. The B.C. Employer Training Grant provides funding to small, medium and large enterprises to support skills training for their workforces, including prospective new hires.
