Simulation Spaces

The HSC has 16 spaces of mid fidelity simulation spread over 4 rooms. In each room there are 2 beds with AV capability.

For high fidelity spaces we currently have 4 spaces plus a fully functional operating room/trauma room. All of these spaces have AV capability. There are 4 spaces plumbed for dialysis.

In the new HSC we have 32 spaces for skill development. The spaces are allocated with 8 spaces in each of 4 rooms. In each of the rooms there is a demonstration space that has Audio/video recording and streaming capabilities.

With the growing need of registered nurses in the province. BCIT has further expanded undergraduate nursing simulation spaces.

The newly renovated space in SE12 building includes 16 beds of skill acquisition and 12 beds of mid fidelity simulation.

There are 8 debrief spaces in the Health Sciences Centre with a capacity of 8-10 people. Each of these spaces have the capacity to view any HSC simulation space remotely.
