The School of Health Sciences (SOHS) and School Quality Committee (SQC) fully support BCIT’s mission “to serve the success of learners and employers by providing high quality technical and professional education and training that supports our graduates as practitioners and as citizens; and by advancing the state-of-practice”. We are committed to academic and professional standards that provide for our learners an educational experience with qualified and knowledgeable instructional and support staff in an environment that is conducive and responsive to effective learning.
The SQC reviews proposals for significant curriculum changes and the development of new educational programs and courses, thus ensuring that the School continues to meet the needs of the learners and communities we serve. When conducting these reviews, the SQC will be guided by the following guidelines [PDF].
