Our Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is a dedicated group of volunteers who encourage and steward the contributions we receive from our donors. The Board is instrumental in helping us promote awareness of BCIT’s economic and social benefits to the community and beyond.

Richard Rudderham
Chair, BCIT Foundation
Former Senior Advisor, Strategy & Operations, BMO Financial Group

Richard Rudderham was formerly the Senior Advisor, Strategy & Operations at BMO Financial. Prior to this role, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer, and is a member of the Bank’s Management Committee. He joined BMO in 1989 and held a variety of roles in Corporate and Institutional Financial Services and the Personal and Commercial Client group, including Senior Vice-President, Institute for Learning. He holds an MBA from Wilfred Laurier University and a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.

Wayne Berg
Secretary/Treasurer, BCIT Foundation

Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking, Coast Capital Savings

Wayne Berg has been with Coast Capital Savings for the past 12 years, presently in a senior support role assisting national expansion projects, partnerships, and growth ambitions in commercial real estate and corporate space. He has also led the Commercial Banking Group with small business ventures, business banking, commercial real estate, equipment financing, and cash management. He brings close to 40 years of commercial, retail banking, and wealth management experience. Wayne is a member of BCIT’s INSPIRE Campaign Cabinet and serves as Secretary and Treasurer for BCIT Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Guy Elliott
Director, BCIT Foundation
Acting Vice President and Corporate Controller, Teck Resources Ltd.

Guy Elliott is the Acting Vice President and Corporate Controller at Teck Resources, one of Canada’s largest mining companies headquartered in Vancouver. With an operations, engineering, and accounting background, he bridges the gap between finance and operations at Teck. He is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA-CPA), holds a graduate degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, and has a Metals and Material Engineering degree from the University of British Columbia. He is a member of several volunteer committees and is a Director on BCIT’s Board of Governors.

Malcolm Hunter
Director, BCIT Foundation

Past President, Deeley Group of Companies

Malcolm Hunter is the Past President of Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada. Under his guidance, Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada earned the 50 Best Managed Companies designation for 18 consecutive years. He brought a strong background in finance, accounting, and business systems to the company and oversaw its growth in its most successful period. Malcolm is a graduate of Simon Fraser University’s Economics and Commerce program, the Queen’s University Executive MBA program, and the Wharton School of Business Advanced Management program. Malcolm is a member of BCIT’s INSPIRE Campaign Cabinet and a Director on BCIT’s Board of Governors.

David Ryan
Director, BCIT Foundation
Managing Director, Edelman Smithfield (Canada)

David Ryan is a senior, strategic and trusted advisor to leading North American companies and public-sector organizations. For more than 20 years he has provided strategic communications, media relations, B2B communications, and stakeholder relations to his agency’s clients. He has established broad-based industry knowledge including transportation and logistics, financial services, technology, mining, oil and gas, aerospace, telecommunications, consumer packaged goods, sports and entertainment, real estate, and health care. He holds a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from BCIT and BA in History and Arts from the University of British Columbia.

Donna Wilson
Director, BCIT Foundation

Consultant, Workquake Solutions

Donna Wilson has retired from full-time executive level work and is consulting part time with her company Workquake Solutions. Donna has served as the Executive Vice President responsible for human resources leadership at the Provincial Health Services Authority. She has also held executive accountability for Diagnostic and Treatment Services across BC and was the Senior Vice President of People, Community, and Strategy at LifeLabs. Donna holds a BA in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and an Executive Management Certificate from Queen’s University and is a Chartered Director (McMaster University). Donna is a member of BCIT’s INSPIRE Campaign Cabinet and a Director on BCIT’s Board of Governors.
