Training Solutions for Industry

BCIT’s School of Construction and the Environment offers group training to corporations and organizations, locally and beyond. Our training is designed around existing part-time studies courses and full-time trades programs, which may be delivered as-is, or customized to meet your specific training needs. Training can be delivered daytime or evening, in-person or online, on a schedule and at a location that works for your organization. We are also incorporating virtual platforms into our training solutions to help meet the current health guidelines.

"Mind-Over-Metal" Welding Camp

Since 2016, BCIT’s School of Construction has offered local youth an opportunity to try their hand at Welding through the “Mind-Over-Metal” Youth Welding Camp program. With financial support from the Canadian Welding Bureau Foundation, students from Burnaby and North Vancouver School Districts have benefitted from learning with some of BCIT’s top Welding instructors. The camp is part of the School’s ongoing efforts to expose more secondary school students to the many career opportunities available to them through trades training.
