BCIT Distinguished Awards
The BCIT Alumni Association recognizes outstanding individuals at the prestigious BCIT Distinguished Awards gala dinner. This is the signature BCIT event that enjoys exceptional community engagement.
Nominate an outstanding individual
Do you know outstanding individuals who have distinguished themselves in their lives and careers?
Nominations are invited from anyone in the BCIT community, including staff, faculty, Tributes Committee members, students, Advisory Committee members, alumni, retirees and the Board of Governors. Submit your online nomination below.

In addition to the above awards, every few years the Distinguished Service Award is presented. However, the Distinguished Service Award is not given out yearly and will only be awarded when an individual meets the criteria.
Annual student awards program
BCIT and the Alumni Association recognize student excellence through the annual awards program. We appreciate the generosity of our donors in providing financial support and recognition to students.
The BCIT Alumni Association Scholarship and Bursary Endowed Fund was established in 1986 to help BCIT attract and retain the best students. Through generous support of our alumni, this fund has grown to over $1 million and is the largest endowment at BCIT.
By supporting BCIT, alumni annually build this fund for the benefit of BCIT students and campus projects. Since the fund was established, 1,026 BCIT students have benefitted from the awards, receiving a total of $1,204,836. Each year, the invested principal generates interest to provide the following student awards:

Convocation
The BCIT Tributes Committee invites nominations for BCIT honorary awards, conferred during Convocation each year – the Honorary Doctor of Technology, Laws or Letters, and Distinguished Service Awards.
